KYOCHESS Spotlight

International Master Jakob Pfreundt Simultaneous Exhibition

KYOCHESS hosted a simul in a Kyoto temple, bringing IM Jakob Pfreundt together with local and international players.

In a no-clock format, he played multiple boards simultaneously, moving from game to game while participants engaged directly with high-level play.

Through this event, we together created a space where players experience competitive chess in a unique cultural setting, in our beloved city.

Special thank you to IM Jakob Pfreundt for being part of this simul in Kyoto.

Facing him across the board gave our players a rare chance to experience high-level decision-making up close, and the focus and intensity he brought to each game made the event especially meaningful for everyone involved.
